Microsoft launch the 2010 version of their Office Application Suite on the 12th of May. They have provided a free e-book to get you started. If you'd like a copy go here:

If anyone is using Windows 7 release candidate - 11 days to go before it starts shutting down every 2hrs - without saving your work. Backup your data and install another operating system before it gets painful.

E business seems to focus a lot on web products, marketing, blogs etc to reach customers and market/sell products. But E technology must be much more than that. Does anyone have a truly paperless office? Does anyone use e technology for accounting without ever seeing a paper statement etc. Any designers out there who only use pdf files to transmit their design.
If you have a good use for e-technology then please let me know. It would be good to get a list of the various things being done electronically.

A christmas reminder of my ode to EBWL
happy christmas

E- bus West Lothian, how has it helped,
It’s gave us the Shower Guys, and young Andy Gilp,
We’ve googled and twittered, and drank some fine wine,
Over breakfast and lunch it’s a heck of a time.

The network is growing the spiders are out,
The bounce rate is slowing as more of us tout,
What once was each month is now every week,
Or each hour of each day if you count all the tweets

We’ve met in the mornings, we’ve met in some pubs,
In cyberspace, coffee shops, hotels and clubs,
In offices, business parks, daytime or night,
The tap of the keyboard just always seems right.

Now there’s business card swapping, email and tweets,
Google and Apple and Bing with their treats,
We’re linkedin to thousands by laptop or phone,
And followed by millions from Auckland to Rome.

It started with blogging, when none if us knew,
How to hashtag or tweet and from then on it grew,
Now we optimise, post and have gadgets galore,
And speaking for me I just can’t wait for more.

Bruce... 10.7.09
Dedicated to Andy for all his hard work.
